Ad campaign allows listing owners to generate more leads and promote their business listings. This is an another channel to generate revenue for the site admin. Site admin can monetize the site by enabling ad campaign features.  Ads campaign can be run based on the price, duration, available placements along with other options.

In this article we will cover the following points:

For Site-Admin: How to Configure Ad Campaign Settings from Theme Options

Campaign Type

There are two types of campaign available. PPD and PPC. PPD stands for Pay Per Day and PPC stands for Pay Per Click. Admin need to set a type between PPD or Pay PPC from the backend. Because if Admin set PPD as a campaign type then all listing owners can be able to create and run only PPD type campaign. Similarly, if Admin set PPC as a campaign type then all listing owners can be able to create and run only PPC type campaign.

a) Pay Per Day (PPD)

If listing owner select Pay Per Day (PPD) and run a campaign then campaign fee will be charged per day  for specific duration.

b) Pay Per Click (PPC)

If listing owner select Pay Per Click (PPC) and run a campaign then campaign fee will be charged per day  for specific duration.

Also, user can set the budget limit (in numbers) while creating a PPC type ads campaign. Ads campaign will be running until the budget ends.

Create a Pop Up Image

It’s a pop up intro image for the Ad campaign. To create a pop up intro image click + Add New AD and click upload button.

Here are other details given below:

Create ad popup title

This option is used to create a title for the popup.

Create ad popup text list 1

This option is used to create a text list. And this is the list number 1. HTML tags are also allowed.

Create ad popup text list 2

This option is used to create a text list. And this is the list number 2. HTML tags are also allowed.

This option is used to create a text list. And this is the list number 3. HTML tags are also allowed.

All Ad Placements

There are 3 types of ad placements available. Here’s the details of every ad placement given in below:

Spotlight Ads

Spotlight Ads will be appeared in the defined area (Configured by Admin). Admin can manage spotlight ads using a WP Bakery element called “Listing Post” to set spots or use any short code. Admin can disable or enable Spotlight Ads system by switching toggle options.. Once disabled Spotlight option will not be visible in the ads campaign placement options.

Spotlight ads will be displayed with other regular listings. An example screenshot given below:

Spotlight Ad Cost

Define the cost amount for Spotlight placement. Listing owners will be charged for this exact cost when they choose this placement for ads campaign. (Do not include any currency sign).

Side of Listing Ads

Side of Listing Ads will be visible in the sidebar of any listing detail page. Admin can manage Side of Listing ads using a widget called “Listingpro-Ads Listing” from Appearance>Widgets. Admin can disable or enable Side of Listing Ads system by switching toggle options. Once disabled Side of Listing option will not be visible in the ads campaign placement options.

Top of Search Ads

Top of Search ads will be displayed at the top of search results. Admin can disable or enable Top of Search Ads system by switching toggle options.. Once disabled Top of Search option will not be visible in the ads campaign placement options.

When visitor search listings, ads will be displayed at the top of search results or when you (as a visitor/site user) go to any specific category ads will be displayed at the top of search if there is any ad available. Here’s a demo screenshot given below:

Define the cost amount for Top of Search placement. Listing owners will be charged for this exact cost when they choose this placement for ads campaign. (Do not include any currency sign).

For Admin: Create Ad Campaign from WordPress Dashboard

STEP 1: Go to WordPress Dashboard > Ads

STEP 2: Click on Add New

STEP 3: Hover on Add New Add option and add a Campaign title.

INFO: There are 5 different Ad options available for Admin (Select ListingAd Type, Mode, Total Duration, Total Budget) to create an ad campaign from the WordPress Backend.

STEP 4: Go to Select Listing and click on search box to select a listing for the campaign.

INFO: To search a listing you have to enter at least 3 characters of a listing name in order to appear in the search result.

STEP 5: Go to Ad Type and select appropriate placements (Spotlight, Listing Sidebar, Top of Search).

STEP 6: Go to Mode and select appropriate mode.

There are two modes available in drop-downs (Per Click and By Duration).

Per Click

If you select Per Click then ad campaign fee will be charged per click till the campaign budget ends.

By Duration

If you select By Duration option then ad campaign fee will be charged by any specific duration (in days) (e.g: 1 day, 2 day, 30 day etc)

STEP 7: Go to Total Duration and enter the duration (in days) number. (e.g: 20)

STEP 8: Go to Total Budget and enter the budget amount. (e.g: 30).

STEP 9: If everything done click on Publish button.

For Listing Owner: Create Ads Campaign from Frontend User Dashboard

STEP 1: Go to User Dashboard > Ad Campaigns

STEP 2: Click on + Add New AD

STEP 3: Click on Let’s Get Started

 

STEP 4: Click Select Listing dropdown and choose one of your existing published listings.

NOTE: To search a listing you have to enter at least 3 characters of a listing name in order to appear in the search result.

STEP 5: Select a placement for your ad as per your choice.

There are three placement options available to choose. (Spotlight, Top of Search, Side of Listing). You can select multiple placement options. Orange colored spots indicates where ads will be displayed.

Note: Listing owner must select all necessary placements and set budget before proceeding to the payment. Once the campaign is assigned to any particular listing and started successfully then that same listing can’t be used for another ad campaign and can’t be changed later.

Note:  To stop or cancel the ad campaign or issuing a refund request listing owner must contact the site admin. This is not an automatic process.

STEP 6: Set the campaign duration (in days).

STEP 7: There’s an ad summary and review option available in the top right corner. You can see where the ad will be appeared (chosen placement options). duration, sub amount and total amount from here before processing payment.

STEP 8: Select a payment method.

 

STEP 9: Once selected any gateway, Pay Now button will be activated and click Pay Now to complete payment process. If the payment is successful then ads campaign will be live.

Note: If any payment gateway is not selected, Pay Now button will remain inactive.
